la vie en rouge, rose (literally and in color), blanche... and ofcourse noir...
spring 2013 collections reminded me a bit of grace kelly in alfred hitchcock films, with a pinch of japanese influence. the colors shades of whites, reds, pinks, nudes and blacks. satin and thulles made a beautiful emergence, along with rose prints (at dior), and beautiful flower appliqués and accents (at erdem, prada below, dries van noten).. gloves accompanied jackets (like at miu miu) or a strapless dress (at margiela) and added a graceful delicate lady like touch.
*i am craving a pair of the pink prada leather opera gloves (see below).. they add a very lady like flair when paired with an outfit. here are the details i find to be exceptionally beautiful from the spring collections. my favorites, which i have presented below are from prada,valentino, one look from celine,miu miu, giambattista valli, balenciaga (i find this his girl has gone to finishing school and become more of a lady..best collection i have seen in a very long time) and ofcourse raf simons emerging collection for dior. a beautiful rebirth of modern femininity.
